Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi Strengthens UAE-Brazil Relations

UAE-Brazil Relations: Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Committee on Defence, Interior, and Foreign Affairs in the UAE’s Federal National Council (FNC), recently met with top leaders from Brazil and Belarus to boost bilateral cooperation and strategic partnerships. These meetings took place on the sidelines of the 11th BRICS Parliamentary Forum in Brasilia, marking a significant step in the UAE’s efforts to expand its international relations and explore new opportunities for collaboration.

 

Deepening UAE-Brazil Relations

During his visit, Al Nuaimi met with Senator Davi Alcolumbre, President of the Brazilian Senate. The meeting was also attended by Sara Falaknaz, an FNC member, and Saleh Ahmed Al Suwaidi, the UAE Ambassador to Brazil. Senator Alcolumbre praised the UAE’s active participation in the forum and highlighted the importance of strong parliamentary ties as a foundation for broader cooperation between the two countries. Both sides discussed ways to deepen their relationship, focusing on key areas such as advanced technology, energy, and economic investment. Al Nuaimi emphasized that Brazil is a strategic partner for the UAE and stressed the importance of working together on development projects that benefit both nations. He also delivered an official invitation from the UAE’s Federal National Council to the President of the Brazilian Senate to visit the UAE, signaling a commitment to ongoing dialogue and collaboration.

 

Expanding Cooperation with Belarus

In a separate meeting, Al Nuaimi held talks with Sergei Rachkov, Chairman of the Standing Commission for Foreign Affairs and National Security of Belarus. Both parties reaffirmed the strength of UAE-Belarus relations and agreed on the need to enhance parliamentary cooperation and maintain regular communication on issues of mutual interest.

Al Nuaimi noted the rapid growth of relations between the UAE and Belarus and pointed out significant opportunities for further collaboration across multiple sectors. He stressed that current global challenges require effective partnerships and innovative approaches to international cooperation. The discussions highlighted the importance of flexible and ethical legislation, especially in areas like artificial intelligence and digital transformation, to ensure sustainable and inclusive growth.
